Today is a better day than yesterday but worse than tomorrow
Hi, my name is Laura. I am a 35 years old girl from Barcelona (Spain). My husband and I are happily together since April 1994 (married since April 2004). I joined SparkPeople in February of 2007 and I feel great of being a member of this community. It gives me a lot of motivation and good vibrations to start every single day of my life. Hi, my name is Laura. I am a 35 years old girl from Barcelona (Spain). My husband and I are happily together since April 1994 (married since April 2004). I joined SparkPeople in February of 2007 and I feel great of being a member of this community. It gives me a lot of motivation and good vibrations to start every single day of my life. I enjoy with fitness, yoga and the practise of healthy habits. My last accomplished goals were to finish my PhD degree last year and quit smoking at the same time. I felt very proud of myself then, but they left me these five extra kilos that I want to lose now in order to feel self confident again and to show that I can reach my goals. Updated on September 13th 2007: More than a half of my journey done! It takes me seven months to lose 2 1/2 kilos but It has been worth it. I am eating healthier than before and exercising consistently. I have more energy than ever, so I want to keep up the work! Updated on January 29th 2008: Not major improvements in my weight loss, but I feel good at the weight that I'm right now. I want to set new goals and reach a more toned body. I'm sure that if I eat in a healthy way and I workout regularly I will do it. Updated on December 1st 2008: I live a happy and healthy life, I'm expecting my first and the due date is around May 14th. I'm having a wonderful pregnancy so far and I couldn't be happier. I am eating very healthy and exercising three times a week, I'm focus on swiming and elliptical and walking as much as I can. I feel fit and haven't noticed any major pregnancy discomforts, so great so far! Updated on July 29th 2010: After having my first kid I'm coming back!

My Goals:
I would like to lose five kilos by 20th October 2007 and keep them off. Living in a healthy way. Exercise: To run a 5K: done! 04/01/2007 To run a 11K: done! 05/06/2007 To run a half marathon Habits: Waking up 1 & 1/2 hour before every day from Monday to Friday since 1st January 2008: done! July 2008 and counting! Suppress cafeinated coffee by August 2008. Done!
My Program:
To eat in a healthy way. 5 or 6 servings of fruits/veggies daily. To exercise four times a week, combining running and strenght trainings (yoga or pilates once a week included, depending on my needs).
Personal Information:
I am from Barcelona (Spain). I am a researcher in economics at the University of Barcelona.
Other Information:
I enjoy reading almost all kind of books and quilting. I like music from Frank Sinatra, Marvin Gaye, Katie Melua, Norah Jones and other great voices
