Here's to getting stronger and healthier each day.

I have been in good shape most of my life and it was easy to lose weight, but as I grew older, and wiser, I noticed it was harder to lose weight. I also started putting weight on around the middle, something I never did before. Last year I made the decision to make changes so I wasn't like so many people I know on all sorts of medications. I want to prevent that as long as I can and to do that I need to be pro-active with my health. I have eaten healthy for a long, long time but something ...

I was on another website and saw a mention about sparkpeople and gave it a try. I know it has helped and I hope to learn more about the site and find some friends to share this journey with.

My Goals:
Learning to control stress.

To lose weight in stages, not focus on the whole number.

To find my joy in all things.

To try to prevent for as long as possible the need for perscription medication.

My Program:
I started doing yoga in August '07 mostly 3 days a week. I started the same time doing NIA 2 days a week.

I would like to lose 10 pounds by my birthday in October. Then set the next phase.

I added circuit training one day a week.

Personal Information:
My husband and I have a contracting business that takes up most of our time and we have started an addition to the back of our house. What were we thinking!?! We are going to love it when it's done, but for now.......

Other Information:
I love to garden but it is a bit in the back ground now and making a home for wild birds to eat, drink, and live is something I care about.

I love to cook and still try to find time for it each day.

I really enjoy reading and will find time every week to read.

WELL! We absolutely must intersect on one of your journeys through Conway! Hmmmm...two or three weeks prolly won't work, since I'm in the throes of sweater season. But just out of curiosity, when is it exactly?

I'm SO happy chef son experienced The French Laundy with you. Are you going to post any travel notes? Upload any photos???
