I am 35 yr old, mother of 2, wife, outdoors loving, simiplicity seeking, easy-going person.

I've signed up for the Biggest Loser Challenge at our local gym. My goal is to loose 14 lbs by the end of the challenge on March 5th.

I am committed to taking care of me first & foremost. I strive to incorporate healthy habits for myself in both exercise & food choices.

While the quantiy of years is not as important to me, it's the quality of those years that is a goal of mine. I don't want to live my life w/limitations...the sky is the limit!

    Looking forward to teaming up this month. I am going to work on getting my goals outlined tonight or tomorrow. It's been a crazy week. I am on Day 4 of the 28-day bootcamp. WOOHOO! Don't hesitate to give me a little "prodding" now and then. I am the queen of procrastination. So far, so good, though. Hope you have a fabulous weekend! Look forward to getting to know you better.

    Ahhh yes....Chilis. LOL I go to Tuesday night dinner every week with the ladies (the ones you see so often in my pics....Debbie, Corinne, Marie). We've been doing that for some time now, & I didn't want to just quit the tradition b/c of my weight loss efforts. Luckily, they're all super supportive, so we now only go to places that either publish their nutritional info or where I already know what I can eat. :)

    Yeah, I'm hoping to return the HRM. I'm only sketchy about it, b/c I ordered it from Best Buy online. I haven't done an online return before, so I just need to take the time to figure out that process. Once that's taken care of, I'll see about ordering a more appropriate one. (I SO love having an HRM, so I hate going through this process without one. It makes me feel blind!)

    Thanks, Laurel!!! I've been "tending" my numbers pretty closely, so I'm quite proud of them. :) Thanks for noticing! Now I just need the scale to do it's job. (Yes, I realize that I'm being impatient, but with all that is on the line, I'd hard not to be anxious!!)

    I did get a new HRM (after Hoss chewed up the chest strap of my first one). Do you remember me saying it was chest-strap-less? Well....sigh. It's b/c apparently, it's primarily a pedometer. It has a little pulse sensor, from which you're alledgedly supposed to ESTIMATE your burn. Blah. That doesn't incrementally add anything to what I already have (through SP, treadmill, etc. estimates). TOTAL waste of money, so I plan to return it. :(

    ON TO THE NEXT ONE!!!
