Starting Again in 2012!

My name is Laura. I have been a yo-yo dieter my entire adult life and my goal is to lose the weight and keep it off this time.

I joined SparkPeople in January of 2011 and I love it! I was able to lose 33 pounds in about 6 months, and it wasn't very difficult at all. I logged my food, I exercised using my Wii faithfully about 5x a week, and the weight came right off. Then, in the summer of 2011, vacations/kids became the priority and my healthy lifestyle slowly moved to the back burner. I was able to maintain my weight loss for a couple of months, but then the last few months of the year saw my weight creeping back up.

So here I am in 2012, ready to start again. I haven't gained ALL of my weight back, but I did gain more than half of what I lost. I know this program works and I'm determined to make my healthy lifestyle a priority once again! Who's with me?

My Goals:
I would like to lose 42 pounds total, with a mini goal at each 10 pounds I lose. My fitness goal will be 5x a week cardio.

My Program:
My program is to track my food daily and stay within calorie range. My exercise goal is to do 45 minutes of cardio at least 5 days a week.

Personal Information:
I am in my early 40's and am happily married with 2 young children. I work full-time as an administrative assistant and have been with the same employer for over 20 years.

Thanks for reading my Paris blog and for keeping tabs on me! It was really a treat to receive the medal! Thanks so much! I notice you are maintaining your 22 lb+ loss and hope everything is going well. I know you had mentioned something about having a bit of a tough time in August-September and hope thing are going along better now.

Tractor time is almost over. At least the harvest part of it. I don't know if I will be involved in working corn stalks in or not. Hopefully NOT!
