What We Think, We Become (Buddha)

Losing 10 lbs is easy, right?

While my journey should be short, I have been struggling to maintain a healthy lifestyle for the past ten years. I know that my success will come from a shift in my thinking about my time and energy levels.

My goal is to lose 10 lbs but more importantly to eat clean and incorporate fitness into my life again. I have lived this lifestyle before and know how good fit and healthy feels. Somehow I have let work become more important, so ...

Somehow I have let work become more important, so this journey is really about finding balance in my life.

So today begins with these thoughts, I have both the time and energy to take care of ME today.

My Goals:
Eat Clean
Workout 4 times/wk
Learn yoga
Lose 10 lbs & lower BMI

Oh...and to wear a bikini again!

My Program:
This time it is about healthy eating and in particular boosting my fruit and veggie intake. I bought a juicer which helps.

Treadmill 3x per week
Strength train 3x / wk
Yoga 1-2x / wk

Personal Information:
Hi, I am Laura. I am 46 years (young) and a live a few miles from Boston. I am single (feels like a dating profile!) but seem married to my job lately which leaves little time for me.

I have found it challenging to stick to healthy eating and working out so am optimistic that joining the Spark Community will help.

I think the online tools are great and the mobile versions take away all of the excuses one could have for not tracking results. Love that.

If you live in this area and are searching for a fitness partner please drop me a note. I have been most successful in the past when I had a workout partner or joined a group like WW. I guess I need that level of accountability. So to start, I will post my progress starting today (feb 11th) for all to see!

I know I can do this so can't wait to post my success!

Today is the start of a new day, new goal and new outlook. My fridge is stocked with fruits and veggies, I ran for 20 mins, strength trained for 20 mins and made my "green juice" (recipes found on JoinTheReboot.com) emoticon
