Back in Fighting Form

I am a 30-something Wisconsinite who, despite growing up and living in this bucolic state, was not an outdoorsy girl. Thanks to my husband, I gave camping a chance. Now I'm hooked on endeavors into nature and the health benefits it brings.

Now that I've discovered this new interest area, I want to improve my level of health and well-being in order to more fully enjoy the activities I take part in. I lost about 55 lbs after college and through grad school, but I gained back about 30 ...

My body doesn't function well most days, and I want to start feeling better both inside and out.

My Journey...

7/30/2010: Joined SP

9/19/2010: Completed The North Face Endurance Challenge 5K. Time = 36:45 (both jogged and walked)

11/28/2010: Completed the Couch to 5K program (GOAL ACHIEVED!)

5/7/2011: Completed the Nicolet Bay 5K (Door County, WI). Time = 32:31 (all running!)

5/5/2012: Completed the Nicolet Bay 5K, second year in a row. Time = 30:33

We nailed Week 6! I'm looking forward to Week 7. I like the idea of all three runs being the same: 25 minutes. This is getting more fun every week! See you there!

I saw on the C25K message board that you conquered Week 5 and the twenty-minute run this weekend. Congratulations! I'm right there with you. Isn't it a great feeling? We'll be doing the twenty-five minute run together next weekend. I'm adding you as a friend for inspiration.
