Rest In Peace Faith~ September 15, 1965 ~ December 7, 2005
Phillipians 4:13 tells us that we CAN DO ALL THINGS through Christ who gives us strength. We can do nothing in our own strength. It is important for those of us who claim to have faith in Christ to demonstrate that our faith is a building block to our change. He has given us a foundation of truths to stand on. Beginning with the truth that He created us and knit us together in our mother's womb (Psalm 139).
Despite our beginnings, no matter the circumstances,
He truly does have a purpose and a plan for our life (Jeremiah 29:11). He has plans to give us a future and a hope. Believe this! He also says that He created us in His image (Genesis 1:27). It's time to look at yourself in the mirror and tell yourself you are beautiful.
Your weight has nothing to do with who you ARE. You ARE a beautiful person with gifts, talents, abilities, goals, dreams. The weight is a product of many things...genetics maybe, rotten childhoods, depression, etc. but all of these things can be overcome.
I know, because I have!
Getting the true revelation of God's love toward you, how precious you are in His sight and knowing that you are loved NO MATTER WHAT! Now thats truth worth knowing, worth living by, and worth finding our strength in.
I love me because my Father loves me. I hope and pray that you will find determination to love yourself fully as you are and then to find the ability to make the changes you seek to make.
I know you can do this! With His help!
Personal growth to include spiritual growth first and foremost and then to find my strength in my faith to do what I must to overcome!
To pursue my dreams in the form of returning to my writing and my art.
To become a good example to my children - in all areas of my life.
My program entails portion control, eating only until full, changing the way I grocery shop, paying attention to what I eat and for what reasons (no more emotional eating). I will pay attention to these things through daily tracking and journaling. Lastly, cardio and strength training.

Laura, You have one of the most uplifting spark pages I have seen on here. I can tell you have a very special calling on your life and are definitely a woman after God's own heart. I will add you to my prayer list. Anyone as close to God as you are will be under attack. Even though it is a hard thing to endure, it is also a sign that you are doing the right thing and the devil is not happy with you at all...So, what ever it is that you are doing and obeying God in, keep it up...You will succeed and win. God is in charge and you are His tool. God bless you sweet girl. You are special!!!! Dotty

I came back to SP after a sparkbreak, on the same day you posted your blog, and I am so sorry!!!! Jer 29:11 is still true. I am so so sorry. I am definitely putting up new post-it notes with your name and bullets on them for prayer; for health, for help casting your cares upon the Lord instead making yourself sick with stress you talked about, for restoration. He WILL restore what the locusts have eaten, and I am going to pray about beating the locusts back. You have way too many locusts and my heart goes out to you. Yes, wonderful to be skinny, but not in that way. At least the cancer tests were negative. My heart goes out to you. Carol
