Shared Food & Fitness Trackers
Aug 2010 Part Trois! Ok, I'm seeing a pattern here. I seem to gain 10 lbs during the summer. Darned sweet tooth! I'm 43 now, have found out diabetes runs in my family, and the weight can jump on me out of nowhere. I am starting to track my eating today (again). I never have a problem not exercising. It's the sweets for me. I CAN DO THIS! Right? Overcome the urge to put the chocolate, cookie, browie or cake into my mouth, right?
7/22/09 Part Deux: Well, it's about a year later after slacking off of Spark and nearly all my good eating habits. That was a bad idea so I'm back since I'm certain I will not be successful w/o my team. Here I go again!
2008: I'm ready to do this! I'm 5 ft 11 in. so I've always been able to carry some extra poundage without it showing. Well, it's showing, and something MUST be done! I stumbled onto this website by sheer accident, and I am ecstatic and humbled to have such great support from normal people just like myself. I'm doing it for health, vanity and sanity. I want to be able to keep up with my children and be relatively sexy for myself & my husband.
1. Overcome cravings for cookies, cake and chocolate!...or just be able to eat a normal portion of them...hehheh.
2.Reach my weight goal.
3. Overcome depression
4. Eat as if food is medicine to nourish my body.
Good nutrition, cardio and light weights.
Alternate between Beach Body Power 90 & Turbo Jam dvd's, The Firm Standing Legs & Total Body workouts, & walking.
Love reading, swimming, and being with my family.

Thanks for your stop over at my page! I have restarted as well. I have used exercise as a means to maintain - but - to maintain the wrong weight and to avoid my real food demons. I've been re-tackling my food issues for eight weeks now and while it's slow progress, I am losing again and it's a good feeling. I am focusing on fewer calories (1200 daily), whole foods, less sugar, less white flour and trying to get in a lot more vegetables than I used to. I may not love it but I am getting used to it. And that's what's it has to be about for me - a lifestyle change. Good luck to you and keep up the great work! I know how fast you can walk! Ha!

Hey hey!! Happy Day 4!
Oh yes, you can do this! Stress is such a healthy-eating buster, but the combination of stress AND extra pounds on our bodies is so tough on us!
Good for you, coming back to start tracking. That is the love of my life, the Spark tracker!! I am currently working to get more consistent with exercising!
Hope you're having a great day!!

Hey Laura, I thought I would drop you a note to say HI!!! I don't know if you remember me or not. I was in the 25 pound group for about a year 18 months ago. I started the literal walk to people houses group while I was there. I found my way back to SPARKS after a year being away . Thought I would look you up and say Hi. Oh you also helped me out with my AC questions ;) Hope you are doing well. Hope to be able to catch up with you. Take care. Tracy
