My name is LaTisha and I am a 28 y/o single mom to 3 girls ages 10, 8, and 6 residing in Baltmore County, Md. I'm at a great point in my life where I'm ready to take charge and continue to move forward! My name is LaTisha and I am a 28 y/o single mom to 3 girls ages 10, 8, and 6 residing in Baltmore County, Md. I'm at a great point in my life where I'm ready to take charge and continue to move forward! I work full time as a Social Services Director at a nursing/rehab facility and I attend school online working towards my bachelor's in Psychology. I have a history of abusing diets and diet pill addictions. Since the birth of my youngest daughter, I've made that decision to focus on healthy eating and losing weight the right way. I do struggle with consistancy and I'm hoping that with the help of sparkpeople, I will be able to reach and maintain my goals. *Update - in addition to my age and my children's age....some things have changed! I am now at my heaviest weight EVER! Over the 2011 holidays (roughly from Oct. 2011 to Jan. 2012) I managed to go from 154 lbs to 165 lbs. Eating whatever I want, whenever I want, how much of it I want coupled with lack of exercise has contributed to this weight gain! Not only have I NOT been going in the right direction but I've been going up! Eeek!! I am officially stepping out of denial and committing to what I need to do to get this under control. I'm also experiencing severe acid reflux which is no fun and I feel unhealthy and out of shape.

Hello Latisha. I read one of your comments on how to relax and I think that your ideawas great. I am going on a long road trip and I think I will use your idea of stopping and letting the kids play while I relax. It may save my sanity lol!!! I am travellin fron northern bc to the us border. I am a single mom of 4. I am going to school for Social Service worker diploma right now. I have only 6 classes left. My baby is 1 so things are a little crazy. I babysit 2 more and also work at the school as the Aboriginal student support worker. We live on a farm, so things are busy. I felt we had a lot in common and wanted to add you as a sparksfriend. I think your poitive attitude is great!!! Good luck on your journey.

Thanks for commenting on my blog! I love what you said about calling the scale a liar; it's so true!! I need to do that. I've been thinking about changing my goal weight number too, because I think that is pretty unrealistic if I keep working out hard. Maybe if I eat less and STOP working out, but really I don't want to be a stick. I want to be STRONG and FIT!
