I am 52 now and have lost weight 3-4 times over the last 25 years. I know I have learned a few things during this journey I have had so far and am now tired of struggling to keep the rest off. I know my health requires I eat healthy and that is where I am headed back to. Regular cardio, strength training and stretching are key to feeling good for me. My body has been going through changes the last few years and I am just trying to adapt as best I can and still stay positive on my journey. Our environment affects our moods and mind status, so I am a big believer in Classical Feng Shui. I took an 8 day practioner course last spring and love it. Now I just need to get it into regular practice.

My Goals:
To lose 23 lbs.

To feel great!

To be healthy and happy each and every day.


My Program:
Elliptical training (various programs) 5-6 x a wk for 35-45 min, 3 days a wk - strength training for 25-45 min and then always follow with stretching for 15-20 minutes after every work out. Now focused on healthy eating and sticking with it this time....my health requires it.

I quit the first new job (best thing for my health) and took a new job within 6 weeks of quitting...it is a much better fit and I am liking it (no OT and reduced work week) and I am slowly adjusting to being downtown again. Carpooling with my hubby for now, bussing will eventually happen.....another adjustment.....such is life.....it is always full of change....


Other Information:
I believe life is about balance. If you have love, laughter and friendships in your life, your journey should continue to be a happy one. I don't think we ever have it all figured out.

    To keep myself on track I've been participating in the 5% Challenges for awhile now. We've decided that during this time of year our motto is going to be "participation not perfection". It's tough but anything is better than nothing.

    Good luck with your job search! I hope you can find something part time. I know well what it is like to work in a stressful job with a lot of overtime. I had to stay with it until I retired a year ago because I needed that pension but it was at a great cost to my health. I am still in the process of recovering. Do what feels best for you. Keep your focus and the right job will find you!
