Healthy Lifestyle 101
I am a relatively recent college graduate getting adjusted to the trials and travails of a full-time, 9 to 5 office job. Though I do enjoy the work I do (student life at a university), I have found that the sedentary lifestyle I've suddenly inherited along with my job has led to some weight gain. I've also realized that I feel tired and stressed working full time and yet I'm still in my 20s! There are people I work with twice my age who seem to have more energy than I do and that has inspired me to change my life. I want to become fit and strong so I can conquer all my future goals, including continuing my education and having a family, while working. I am on this site to pursue the healthy lifestyle I've always wanted and believe I can attain.

My Goals:
Short term: I am currently in a 6 week challenge with my family. My goal is to stay at or under 1700 calories per day and to complete Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred (20 minutes of circuit training per day). Long term: I would like to go from 185 lbs. to my goal weight of 159 lbs. by September 8, 2012.
My Program:
I am tracking my calories, water intake, steps taken, and cardio. I am using a pedometer app on my phone to keep an eye of how active I am during the day and to count my steps. I am using the Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred DVD every morning to complete a 20 minute workout.
