On My Way to a Better ME!

I've done it all, from pills to workout videos to fad diets, as well as well known programs. Most have worked for me but only temporarily. I always tend to slip back into my old patterns and gain the weight. I've struggled with back problems so the Personal Trainer wasn't my best choice as it ended up in surgery. This time I will make it work and last.

Thanks for the heads up, I was going to try that towards the end, but I don't care for meatloaf at all. The double chocolate muffin leaves a lot to be desired, but the only thing I've had that I did not enjoy was the caramel bar. Oh and the strawberry shake.
Lastnight I went off the plan for date night, and even though I had a burger and popcorn, I still lost a tiny bit 0.4lbs. This weekend try to remember the portion sizes and you'll do great. I leave tonight for a week long cruise, I'm a little worried about undoing all my progress, but it's a vacation so I might splurge a bit here and there, I'm going to try to be smart about things thought because I don't want to come back 5lbs heavier that would be discouraging.
I weigh in everyday now to write it on the top of each page. I used to only weigh in on Tues and Sat, and I don't know how often I'll weigh in on the cruise but I like seeing how my weight fluctuates throughout the week. Good luck with your weigh-in!

I too ate to my hearts content prior to Monday when I started...why do we do that??? ha ha. I have been following the program by the book. I'm afraid to add too much right now, I guess I just want to get the basics down first. Then when I feel comfortable with knowing what I'm doing I will try to get creative. I too only had the chocolate, but I tried the strawberry this morning. I'm not a big vanilla fan, so the diet rootbeer may be the way to go! I need to get an actual list of power fuels that I can choose from, because I have to get groceries and I want to know what I need. I'm not a veggie fan and have failed everyday getting in all 4 servings. Let me know if you see something worth sharing and I will do the same. Good luck!!

Thanks for the comment on my blog. Yesterday's food was pretty good, and I've already lost the 2lbs I gained this weekend by eating pizza, fries, a burger and candy (I know it was a bad idea). Are you adding anything to the protein shakes, I've only had the chocolate ones, but I've been looking around the Nutrisystem website and some people are mixing in peanutbutter with the chocolate shake and fruit or diet rootbeer with the vanilla ones to taste like a rootbeer float, sounds really yummy. Also, are you eating fruit with breakfast? Today my bagel package showed it with cream cheese and some raspberries. The cream cheese is an extra, but fruit is a smartcarb. I want to follow the plan as closely as possible to see maximum results, what do you think?
