Thanks for your comments to me on my spark page. I live in the "other", (brown), Texas, west of the Pecos River.
One of the reasons that I think that it is a waste for them to give me the Mammograms, is that, as I have told them in the past, if they find something, I will NOT let them cut on me. I'm NOT a Christian Scientist, I am a Sabbath Observing Christian, and in my heart, I believe that for me to beg a human to "save me" when he or she can't even save him, or herself, shows that I have NO faith in GOD. Your thoughts on this please? Brie

I saw your comment on the SparkTexas huddle. I am originally from Kilgore, but I now live about 20 min east of Dallas. My family is still in Kilgore.

Thanks for the nice comments in the sparkmail you sent me.
I had to laugh - I'll gladly send you some to the rain we've been having in northeastern Ohio. There's still chances of thunderstorms tonight and then it's supposed to clear up for a few days.
I swear I'm about ready to shave these two furry critters I live with! To top it off, I dog-sat my mom's dog the past two days and, of course, he's a long-hair and sheds like crazy. i give up!
I hope it's okay that I added you to my friend list.

Congratutions Memasookie! That is wonderful news. My mother in law is a lung cancer survivor. Her battle was last year with chemo and ending with surgical removal of the cancer. She too is clear with her tests! I will keep you in prayer. Just found out my sis-in-laws mom has lung cancer. What a horrid disease to tax so many people. Stay motivated and I agree, being new to spark people there is an immediate connection with the people and this site.

My CT scan still shows scar tissue on my lung from radiation but it hasn't changed in six months so that's good. All of you keep me going. I haven't been on Sparkpeople for long but already feel like you are my friends. I am not much of a joiner of anything, but this has been a blessing to me.
