LAINIE'S NEW HEALTHY LIFESTYLE

I have let life pass me by for too many years. Over the past decade, I have done a few things I never thought I would ever do. I went to New York City for a work summit. I've always wanted to visit New York City and was always afraid to go there. The main reason being that I would have to fly there. I got over that fear of flying to make that trip. I never imagined I would ever get over my fear of flying. It's still a little scary, but I know I can do it. A couple of years later, I flew ...
A couple of years later, I flew again to Memphis this time. I did so much better that time. Then in October 2010, I went on a cruise with some of my family. I was so nervous, but I wanted an adventure. I had such a great time and I want to go on another one. I have let too much of my life pass me by.

In 2013, I went through a lot of changes. My son graduated from college in May. We lived with my sister for five months to help her out financially. It was suppose to be for a couple of years, but I didn't do well living in the country. My son got a job in downtown Savannah as a graphic designer/illustrator with an up and coming company. We decided to move to Savannah. We found a great house to rent. I have my own wing of the house with my bedroom, home office, and my son's studio. It is perfect for us. My whole frame of mind changed. I'm loosing the weight I gained living at my sister's house. We are both getting healthier.

My son has already started eating organic. He's eating more fruits and veggies than he has ever done in his 23 years. I am so proud of him. I'm do the same, but I can do better. We will be working together to continue eating organic and eliminating processed foods as much as possible.

We are also working on exercising more. I love walking, but there was no place for me to walk in the country due to my fear of snakes. Now, we have a pretty good neighborhood to walk in. Plus, there are several parks to walk in. I will definitely be upping my time walking. I work from home and work long hours, but I can take as many breaks as I want to. I will be going for a walk in the morning and afternoon. I will also be doing a Walk Away the Pounds workout 3-5 days a week.

This is definitely going to be the year for me to get healthy. I want to get off some of the medication I am on. I know I can do it. I will have to work hard for it and I am determined.

Hi Lainie,
I'm glad you are liking your new home. The homesickness will fade in time, I'm sure. Thats great that Rocky has a girlfriend and likes his new job!

I suspected that the audience on BB was either warned not to boo, or that they were "fans" of Frankie. I feel he deserved to be booed! Its not fair that they allowed people to boo Christine, but not Frankie because he is a supposed "celebrity" and his sister is famous. He was disgusting on that show. I've seen the clip of him talking about Victoria, I can't even go into it here but I'm sure you know which one I am talking about. It was sickening and I hope that he catches heck about it when he's out in the real world again.

Anyway, hope your week has been a good one. Have a healthy weekend!
Hugs,
Pixie

I hope you get used to things quickly...we really love it here, but I understand about being homesick. At first it was confusing because the area we lived in was all on a "grid" - north/south streets and east/west. Not here....wrapping around hills and looping. But that's what I love about it here, so I just started with getting used to my immediate area, looked things up on mapquest if I needed to go somewhere, and enjoyed myself exploring!

Have a great day!!

Thanks a bunch for commenting on my blog, "Two Weeks On Track." Have a Spark-o-licious day!

PS: How are you enjoying your new place, Lainie?

Pss; yay, Frankie is gone! The audience should have booed him too, like they did Christine. I read somewhere that they were probably told by CBS that they were not ALLOWED to boo...which is not fair. If they can boo Christine, they should be able to boo everyone if they want to, lol. Anyway, he irritated me SOOOOOOOOO MUCH when he was being interviewed with Julie. He was acting like he was a big star or something.
I guess Derek has this game in the bag, just about. I hope Donny wins the America's Choice vote, though.

Hi neighbor!! I live in San Diego county too! Small world! I'm in the north of the county, but we'll have to meet some time!

If you need to know anything, just ask! Sorry you came with weird weather - darn hurricane from Mexico stirred up some heat and humidity, but it's going to better in a few days.

Enjoy our state and get settled in!
