Just trying to keep up!

MOM, artist, teacher, runner, triathlete, volunteer, so many things to do; without my health I can't do any of them.

In 2006 if somebody would have told me I would weigh 123 pounds again in this lifetime I would have been mad at them for being cruel. I was probably over 165. I don't think I would get on the scale at that point. I don't count my pregnancy weight, because well that wasn't all me. I didn't join Spark People until I was already down to 151.
Why bother to bring ...

Why bother to bring this all up? So many of the people I meet these days only think of me as thin. People often assume I have always been thin. I want people to know I was FAT and STRUGGLE with the dark episodes of depression and bi-polar disorder. Check out the photos of the "fat" me in my gallery. I have some awesome people in my life who help me to keep working to focus on the positive. Being active is critical for me.
CHOOSE to succeed and you will. Ask for help if you need it. Help comes in a thousand different ways. But you CAN do this!

I wish I could say losing weight has made everything better but it doesn't. I strive everyday to be healthier physically, emotionally, and spiritually, but the work and journey are never over.

Gotta get out there and PLAY! Run Bike Swim.
I squeeze stuff in wherever I can. It is built into my daily routine walking or running places, I don't own a car. I lift and carry a lot of stuff as a habit. I just let my sons chase me around

Personal Information:
I am a native SoCal girl. I love Disneyalnd, Knott's Berry Farm, the beach and lots of sunshine. I am miserable in the cold. There are so many places I'd love to see and explore. I just can't imagine calling anywhere else home.

Thank You SPARK People for reviving a dream! I received my personal trainer's certification. I want to help other people feel better and live better! Wherever you are you can always improve the quality of your life.

I am certainly trying! I've been counting my calories, exercising whenever I can and drinking tons of water. So far, it's been a successful program for me. The Spark Streaks make it kind of a fun little challenge for me!

Wow , What an Inspiration! I wouldn't say I have not been determined but I surely am lacking the exercise. I am so glad i bumped into your page I needed the reminder to stay strong. I started to feel a little busy lately and I figured since I was busy I I would be okay But I'm realizing I was setting myself up not only for excuses but start slipping back into my old routines. Hopefully it wouldnt have went so far! One thing I did gain from reading your page is to make the most out of life I dont like feeling like I have to much to do and lately I have been trying to keep it together by not staying so busy but then I feel like I've done nothing all day long . I hope that makes since to you I have been busy going out but not doing important things like staying home and cleaning and making sure I'm reading to my daughter and working out. You made me realize it is okay to do all the things I want to do, just know when I'm tired.
I'm sorry for your lost I recently had to deal with the passing with my brother and it's been very difficult a year and a half ago (March 16, 2008). Stay strong and positive that is so Awesome that you and your sisters finished a run.... I'm sure your mom really would have been proud of you ladies. You are Blessed with a beautiful family. emoticon
