I live in Greensboro, NC and would like to lose 25 pounds. I am married with two teenage children (ages 16 and 14). I am an elementary school music teacher, and very active in my church and community. I have always eaten healthily, but find that being busy makes it really hard to fit in exercise. Also, my age means slower metabolism - YIKES! It's time to take charge before the problem...or rather I....get bigger!

I'd say that's the best way to eat too many carbs...the fruit and veggie route because you get enough fiberand vitamins to put your body into it. You give your body something to work with and make it happy. You also give it a reason to move stuff out if you know what I mean. Just make sure you drink enough when you do a lot of fiber. I envy you. I don't really like a lot of veggies or a lot of different fruits. I end up eating the same ones all the time. I'm sure my body is like, " Oh no here we go again...same ole, same ole!" I can't seem to help it though.
But I bet you're safe in your carb choices.
