Time to "Do it Again"
Well its time to give this another go. I wanted to loose weight for my wedding, and I lost some, but not as much as I wanted. I let the hectic activities (and stress!) of planning a wedding get between me and my goals. Now the wedding is two months past and I managed to gain back what I lost, so now its time to give it another go! I've tried many diets (JC, WW and others) and am hoping this will work for me. I've lost the weight before but it came back, I didn't manage a lifestyle ...
Well its time to give this another go. I wanted to loose weight for my wedding, and I lost some, but not as much as I wanted. I let the hectic activities (and stress!) of planning a wedding get between me and my goals. Now the wedding is two months past and I managed to gain back what I lost, so now its time to give it another go! I've tried many diets (JC, WW and others) and am hoping this will work for me. I've lost the weight before but it came back, I didn't manage a lifestyle change that is necessary to keep it off. I'm not a big believer in the "scale method" for measuring whether or not you are at a healthy body shape, but we go with what we have. I'm going to work hard at keeping to my original calorie counts for a few months before I step on the scale again. I'm afraid that if I do it now, I'll just be disapointed with myself. I can tell I've gained back most or all I lost because of the way my clothes fit. I am a bellydancer and teach bellydance, but am still overweight. A belly may be useful for bellydance but, I've got more than I need.

My Goals:
Go From 222 to 145 by 8/1/2009 Consume between 1420 and 1770 calories per day Burn at least 2710 calories per week. My fitness goal is to increase my exersize until I am doing an hour each morning mixed between yoga, strength training and cardio. My weight goal is to fit in a 10 or 12 size pants - I'm aiming for the Marilyn Monroe look. I'm not overly concerned with what the scale will say, though I did set a weight goal as a guide, its the appearance I want to attain.
My Program:
Two months into the plan and I continue to enter all of my food My current exersize plan is 20 minutes of yoga MTWTF, an hour on Sat. and my bellydance practice for cardio 3 or 4 times a week. I have a goal to get back on track with my strength training and add it on Tuesday/Thursday right after yoga.
Other Information:
I have five cats, my babies - Achilles, Apollo, Ares, Atalanta and Adonis -- yes they are all named after Greek Mythology. I've had cats from the time I was a baby and can not remember a time when cats were not part of my life. I would be absolutely lost without them.
