Even when I'm a mess I still put on a vest with an S on my chest, oh yes I'm a SUPERWOMAN

I'm mexican need I say more? LOL! There stems the root of my problem. I grew up loving food, from mole, pozole, menudo, tortillas, ahhh all too much yummy goodness. Of course being mexican requires no measuring what so ever. I grew up never knowing what it was to be healthy. It never affected me till I was about 16 and I started to put on the weight. Every year since then I have managed to gain 130 lbs or so, YIKES! So now here I am actually educating myslef to know how much I am putting into ...

I had tried to lose weight before and always told myself that I looked fine, I even got to the point of accepting that I would be fat forever. Update:

I've been on SP since March of 07 and loving every single moment of it. I never thought how in such short amount of time I could better my life and love myself so much. Something I've been looking to do since childhood. It's been such an easy transistion, it's kinda scary. I guess it's because I still get to eat whatever I want. That my friends has kept me successful. I don't feel stressed out or hungry. I eat well 80% of the time and work out. I make sure I stay active on the message boards and spread the spark, so that everyday that passes I continue to stay motivated. It works!
I'd like to thank all the beautiful people that have inspired me and helped to get to where I am now. So if you are reading this and are not sure if you can do it, believe me there is always time for everything and anything can be done if you really want to change it. The only person in your way is you, so get out of YOUR WAY and change it. We only live once so live happy!

I wanted to add this little part because I wanted you all to know what I really had to work through to get to where I am right now. When I started in March of 07 I had a full time job, two little ones and a household to run because my hubby has two jobs. My day started at 4:45 am and ended at 11 pm. I remember coming home the first couple of weeks of working out and passing out, after putting my kids to bed, in my workout clothes and sweaty (yuck LOL!) because I was so exhausted. I was fortunate enough to be able to be a stay at home mom in September 07 after losing 45 pounds. I've lost 35 additional pounds at home. It's been challenging I'm not gonna lie. I would prefer to be working and have the structure I did. But at the same time I feel fortunate because I have learned to have self control and keep myself out of the fridge and to the gym. So for those of you that think this is an impossible journey, like I said everything is possible if you make it important and you can achieve whatever you want as long as you are committed.

My Goals:
Lose 2 lbs per week for the next 7 weeks. To have a total of 21 lbs lost by 6/17 our first wedding anniversary. -Met 6-18 263lbs, Whoop, Whoop!!!

Next goal to be between 253-250 by my birthday. Goal met 249.5 on 7/21. YAY!!

New goal be out of the 240's by 8/31-okay so I weighed in at 240 but hey that is still a 9lbs loss

Sep1-Oct 1 challenge-to be at least 229.9 by Oct 1st.-I did it, I weighted in at 229.5, I'm so proud!

Oct 1- Nov-1 challenge to be at 219 by the end of the month-Well I didn't make it, I lost a total of 3 lbs this month

Nov 1 - Dec 1-challenge, boot camp in November-No specific weight target I just want to go to the gym and work out for 60 min of cardio and 30 of ST at least 4 times a week

Set this goal in Sept: to fit into Michael Koors Size 16 jeans, THANKS DONNA!=Did it, I met this goal 11.30.07

Jan 8-March 08-To fit into two size 14 jeans with the Thin-spiration Challenge-Ha Ha BUSTED 2.10.08

My Program:
Right now I work out to burn 3200 or more calories a week. It equals to about 4 days of cardio. I also shoot for doing strength training for about 1.5 hours a week and it consists of working out the whole body.

Rewards for 2008

Jan 08-Lost 75 lbs, finally got my Ipod holder.

Next reward to come when I get to 200lbs!

Personal Information:
I live in San Diego County and I am a mother of two children. I've been married for a little over a year now. I am a 25 year old trying to find herself. I've always defined myself by my weight. I always liked to dream about how it would be if I would actually put some effort into losing weight. Well now I am and I feel GREAT!!! I can't tell you how much SP has changed my life. I'm a whole new person, a person that can look in the mirror and love what she sees. I'm no longer embarrassed of posting a full legnth picture of myself because I know that next year I will be happy to post my victory picture. SP has opened up so many possibilities for me. After my journey has ended I want to start and put into action new goals not just in weight loss but in my life. I'm ready to take control and no longer sulk about what I could have done.

Shakira-OMG I love her. I have everyone of her cd's on my ipod. I can't get enough. Her afro-punk remix always gets me pumping

Mana-Right now I listen to their new one, but I love them, old or new.

Alicia Keys-Her new cd has several songs I like to workout to.

Luis Miguel-I can't help it, I'm a hopeless romantic

Laura Pausini-I don't know what cd it is but it's like one of the first one's. She rocks!
