10/26/2009 - The picture to my left is from 1 1/2 years ago, when I first started SP. I was down 38 pounds by August and going strong!
Life changes threw me for a loop, and I slowly (at first) stopped exercising as much as I knew I should---then started with not great eating habits.
My father passed away in Feb of this year - I lost my job in the same month, and depression set in (I can see that that was what it was now) for many months to come.
I don't know how much I weight right now - I just know that I can't comfortably get into any of my clothes---my sleeping is not restful, and my stress (until today) has been in the stratosphere.

Sounds like a whine, maybe it is - but it's my whine and it's the truth - I needed to put it down and look at it.
I moved to AK 2 months ago - decided to make a life change for ME, as I had been 'mom' for 27 years, I finally had a chance to make a change that I had been wanting to make.
So far I love it here! I've not got a chance to do a lot of exploring, what with finding a job, then hiding in my apt at night and just eating and pretending I wasn't gaining more weight.

Today I decided to put what I had eaten (so far) into my SP nutrition tracker, and my gosh!!! I had already eaten more in one day (and not GOOD choices) than I used to eat in TWO days - and that was with exercising and eating a lot healthier!

I went through the cabinets and took out ALL of my trigger foods (mostly sweets) and gave them away. I was going to throw them away - but I paid good money for those, lol - I wanted to see someone get some use out of them!
I also did my first 'at home mile walk' with a free online Leslie Sanson video. I was huffing like a mad bull by the time I was finished :(
I didn't stop there...I then did standing wall push-ups, leg lifts and side twists. Believe me - that was enough for me for today!

I don't know if I'll join a gym here or not, or the ymca - I know that I would get access to a lot more equipment and stuff than I have at home....but for now this is okay with me.
For me - just MOVING is doing great!

So....here I go - again---on this journey. I'll post a new photo soon.

My Goals:
To eat healthier, get more exercise (lifting the remote is NOT an excercise) and to overall feel better about me when I look in a mirror.


My Program:
I am starting back (not over)...slowly---going for a 15 pound loss at first. I am upping my water intake, also my exercise and cutting out the not-so-good food choices and the excuses.

I'm originally from Tennessee - transplanted to IL about 12 years ago.
I moved to AK in August of this year - 2009.


Other Information:
I love to read, write, sing - and when the weather is pretty - just get outside!
