TRISH DISHES about Getting Back in Shape!

I am making a determined effort to get back in shape after a year or more of "letting it go by the wayside!" Want to get 40-50 pounds off and back to exercising more so I can actually ENJOY playing with grandkids and all other activities I have been neglecting, like DANCING, RUNNING, even WALKING!

I have 4 daughters, 9 grandkids (and 2 on the way). I have always worked full fulltime, and stayed extremely busy with family and work. I am a writer and editor, and have been in healthcare marketing and PR for most of my career.

When going for my annual check up, my doctor told me about this site.

I have gone to WW many many times and it is a terrific program. But I just fizzled out after losing about 20 lbs. each time. I do not run, but like walking and live in an area that is pretty and very safe to walk for miles and miles, so there is no reason not to---just not being MOTIVATED! I just started back walking. So, I count THAT as my first SUCCESS!

Hopefully I will be posting a PROGRESS photo after I lose the first 15 or so....then keep posting so I can track my progress and share with others.

I am a firm believer in the power of prayer, so I am also praying and leaning on the power of God to help me do this. I will keep my new SP friends in my prayers, so ASK ME TO BE A FRIEND and you get that EXTRA benefit!

THE BACKGROUND OF MY PAGE is Neyland Stadium, on the HILL at UT-Knoxville, where my hubby and I met on his 19th birthday. We are BIG ORANGE fans and I am a 40+ year LADY VOLS fan (as you can tell by my page title!)

I just read your intro, and I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND! Keeping up with kids (my nephews) was initially what motivated me to exercise more!
