this is my journey to better health...

i have always struggled with my weight. i remember in grade 5, wearing my father's 32" waist jean shorts. i was teased for being fat in junior high and continued to battle weight issues.

in 2006, i joined the running room...determined to shed the weight. one of our guest speakers was a nutritionist. her speech to us had me in tears. i emailed her to set up an appointment. i saw her for a few months and had done so well. i had lost several pounds and inches. i kept up with the program for another year or so and had gotten down to my lowest weight as an adult...152lbs.

in 2007, i was involved in a car accident. although things could've been a lot worse, i was doing physio and accupuncture 3 times per week and had to give up any other physical activity i was doing. this continued for 1.5yrs...causing the weight to start piling on.

in late 2009, i had tipped the scales at 177lbs. this is when i hit rock bottom. i hated how i felt and looked. i signed up for a 12 week body transformation program which started january 17, 2010. i weighed 174lbs. at the start of the 12 weeks, i lost 12lbs & 17 inches.

i'm getting married this year and my goal is to regain my focus and lose 20lbs.
