I am a Licensed Massage Therapist, a self-taught artist and poet, and a musician in training. After seeing how much sparkpeople.com has helped those around me, I decided it was time for me to join in and start taking better care of myself.

~~~~~~~~Lessons I've learned:~~~~~~~~~~~
- Never eat a meal right before working out
- Never head bang while jogging
- Music makes all the difference
- My power food: Apples, subway sandwiches
- Remember the bug spray
- While in the wild, be prepared for anything.
- Water fluctuations make daily weigh-ins pointless.
- DON'T WORK OUT on a full stomach!
- You'll always be glad you did.
- Carbo load the day BEFORE, not the morning OF.
- COFFEE GOOD
- Pee before the race
- You might surprise yourself.
- Drink enough water
- Bad weather isn't so bad once you're in it.

I just read your lesson about "never headbanging while jogging" and pictured you and then dad running like a headbanging dolphin LOL! thanks for that :'-)
