My Goals:
I want to learn to eat a more balanced diet and lose a few pounds along the way. And I'd really like to get back to the great shape I used to be in.

My Program:
I'm tracking my calories and nutrient intake as well as doing SparkPeople cardio and strength training. I'm taking Pilates and Zumba over the Summer and hopefully ballroom dancing in the Fall.

Personal Information:
I've been vegetarian for five years. Reading and writing are my passions, but I'm getting a degree so I can get a job that pays. I'm addicted to Buffy the Vampire Slayer, caffeine, and first-person shooters. My little brother is my favorite person in the world. My boyfriend Cody is awesome and really tall. (And he's the store manager of a Starbucks, which is super convenient!) My struggle with mental illness nearly killed me, but I'm really happy to be alive and to have these nice little pills that help.

Thanks for stopping by my blog yesterday! The prevailing rationale (diet mentality) is that you need to deprive yourself in order to lose weight. In a sense, that's true. Spark people (as you know) isn't about losing weight, it's about becoming healthy and establishing healthy habits that result in weight loss.

Getting that fuel is important and in the correct amounts! Thanks again and I see you're a relatively new sparker so...I'll add ya as a friend!
