Priority #1 : Me!

I was always the slim girl who could eat whatever she wanted without gaining an ounce so I never gave much thought to my weight. But then 25 hit, and I gained 40+lbs over the course of a year and a half... that was 4 years ago.

I originally joined SP in 2007 and lost 20lbs over in less than 3 months before getting off track. Since then I've gained that weight back and restarted my weight loss efforts so many times that I've lost count. The good thing from all that starting over is that I KNOW that I can lose the weight. I've also learned that I have to make this a long-term lifestyle change in order to keep it off.

I'm calling this journey Take Number Ten Million and One. The one is because it will be the last time I have to start over. Action!!!

October Update:
See what had happened was... I lost 10lbs in my first 3 weeks back on SparkPeople, then life happened. I could go on and on but I won't because what it really boils down to is that I stopped making me a priority. I let my diet and exercise slip up and began half-heartedly approached my SparkProgram. So, I'm reassessing and reprioritizing and guess what, I am Priority #1! There are 12 weeks left in this year and I will not go into 2010 carrying this extra weight. I'm drawing a line in the sand and saying enough is enough.

I'm on a Mission, but it isn't Mission Impossible!

Nutrition:
I plan on drinking WATER!!! I have to cut back on the diet sodas and give my body the water that it needs to function properly. I also need to eat within my recommended calorie range.

Fitness:
Cardio 4x/week
Strength Training 3x/week

Mental:
I want to be fit and more confident by 2010. Interacting with other Spark members is so inspiring! I will be active on the message boards, teams, etc. and reach out to others for help when needed.

Hey Diva,

How are things going with you? What are you doing for the holidays? It will be just me & the boys & Eric for Turkey day.. So I know our eating will be healthy!!

I have BC tonight & I am really enjoying the program. I am noticing I have lost inches b/c my pants are looser. We do sooo many squats & lunges & I am not happy about those but they are working...LOL..

My eating has been good overall & I have not had cake in 12 days!! emoticon I am really trying to make the most of this program. I am anxious to see the end results in 5 weeks!

Keep up the FABULOUS WORK!!!!
