Hi 51 year old grandmother raising 2 grandsons living in Darby Pa.
Had a streak in 2011 but got complacent with what it took to lose weight so I stopped tracking and exercising and doing what needed to be done to keep my streak and keep the weight off.

Our bodies are composed of 70% water and our blood is 94%water. Water surrounds and protects our cells. hydrates our tissue, and cleanses the wastes from our system--Water acts as a lubricant and cushion for our joints as well as our eyes and spinal cord-

If Your body is dehydrated. your blood becomes thicker and harder to pump, which could lead to HYPERTENSION and HEART DISEASE. Water acts as a coolant for our body. Water regulates a healthy body temperature. Which is one reason why we sweat when we get hot.--Our skin glows with proper hydration. water washes medications from the liver. Water fights fatigue and gives us more energy. Without water our body cannot break down triglycerides (visualize lard) into usable forms of energy.

Drinking a sufficient amount of water 8x's a day makes our metabolism burn 3 percent faster. Water empties stubborn fat storage deposits. Water helps to carry fat out of our body. Water gives us a full feeling. Curbing our appetite.

As you can see your body needs a lot more water than what you give it. As I make these life changes to my diet I am quickly learning there is truth to what Socrates said "let food be thy medicine and let medicine be thy food.
