I wasn't too thrilled to see I had walked that far yesterday! ha ha ha I'm a nurse and my job keeps me on my feet a lot, but every day is different. I've had my pedometer for several weeks, but hadn't been using it much. After I took this assignment, I thought what the heck. It would be interesting to know how far I go in a day....now, I'm not so sure I WANT to know! ha ha ha But since I was putting in so MANY steps, I decided to start tracking them. I know it will help me in the long run.

It's like sending a card-just a fun thing ...a virtual gift. When you spin the wheel, record your food, exercise, etc. you earn points and these points can be used to give yourself or others a gift. Some of the gifts have a note attached to them. If you click on "See All My Goodies" it indicates if there is a note attached, click on the note to read. Hey there, welcome to Fibro Friends! You're off to a great start - congrats on winning that Spark dvd on the log-in wheel! It sure helps when we can see tangible results. I commend your persistence even though you don't have tangible results - yet. You will, you will!
You have joined an incredibly supportive team. We're here for your weight loss, fitness, motivation & as you live w/ FMS. Fibro does change losing weight & getting fit - but it doesn't stop us unless we let it. Even having a day full of obstacles & not letting it stop us the next day is progress. Make it a goal to make progress every day, even when all you do is 10 minutes of slow stretching in a couple 5 minute sessions. It will make so much difference.
This forum, including the Reading Room, is full of fibro resources. Spark's tools are fantastic, I couldn't do this w/o the trackers. There's so much to learn, articles and slideshows & videos, including Coach Nicole's workout videos like the dvd you'll have soon.
