Shared Food & Fitness Trackers
I have been a Sparker for over a year and a half, but wasn't active when I'd lost my job. But then i decided to go back to school, so there were more important things than getting back to SparkPeople at that time. But even on my own, I watchen my diet and stayed in good physical health. About 4 months ago at a health fair held at my college, I was given a bone density test. I was told I was at risk for Osteoperosis, and most likely have Osteopenia currently. My doctor later told me not to start running, (which is good for building bone density) but to do weight bearing exercises instead, and to increase my intake of calcium. Well, I thought i was lactose intollerant, but found out through vigorious chese and ice cream testing that I most likely have IBS instead, later confirmed by my doctor. With all these new things to keep an eye on, I thought it might be a good idea to come back to Spark to track my nutrition and fitness.
I'm also owner of several types of animals. I also live with my fiance in our 2-story in down town Fort Wayne, IN. We will be getting Handfasted this August. I've been teaching yoga for a year now, and once in a while I do pilates with the ball, and will walk my dog if he hasn't already been taken for a jog thet day. I'm also involved in a full contact weapon fighting sport called Dagorhir (www.dagorhir.com) that really gets my heart rate up! Don't worry...The weapons are padded. It can also be found on youtube under Wrekreation Nation. I was in the Dagorhir episode filmed. Because I need weight bearing exercise, I've ben going to the gym offered free by my college and working with the machines there. This is how I stay fit.
When I first started, I'd lost 30lbs. with yoga and dagorhir!
Now I'm Maintaining!
I also am working at various types and forms of meditations from various origins to help better ease myself into relaxtion and mental/physical peace. Believe it or not, i'm easily excitable and have go-go-go personality, so realaxation isn't always easy and i have to find various way to accomplish it. Through this, i am working at obtaining astral projection again. I've done it once in my adult life, and have been working since to achieve it again. So also ask me about this if you have a question or please offer any sugestions you may have.
I wish you peace. Namaste'
