I'm on a ME Mission!

My name is Abby, or Abigail, whichever rolls off your fingers better. As I've gotten older I prefer Abigail because it is old-fashioned and sounds a bit classier to me.

On August 15th, 2013 I had gastric bypass surgery. I am down 76 pounds since the surgery and 112 overall. I feel great and realize this is a slow and steady process. I didn't get here overnight and the weight won't shed off of me overnight. It wasn't until the surgery that I felt I have an addiction problem. It seems funny to me that I didn't think so before since I went to such an extreme measure to help correct my ways, but I didn't. Now I get it and am making decisions to help with the addictive part of my behavior.

Other things about me:

I love to read.

I also cross-stitch and crochet. I like to make things and keep my hands busy.

I am an advisor at a community college. I love my job and working with students. I found it ironic that I became an advisor and my name is Abby...who would have thought!

My Goals:
*Follow gastric bypass diet and heal.

*Begin walking ASAP.

*Stay positive!

*Keep negativity at bay.


My Program:
*Gastric bypass diet Week #2-
-Work my way up to 2 tbsp of either lowfat cottage cheese, plain greek yogurt, mashed potatoes, or cream of wheat, 3x per day.
-64 oz H20 daily.
-10 minutes of exercise at a time. (This has been hard because I am weak right now. Will begin ASAP.)
-4oz of Atkins Advantage Protein shake 2-3 x per day.
-Take all medications and vitamins.


Personal Information:
I am 37.
I have an 19 year old daughter in college.
I am married to Peter. We are newlyweds.
I have two Schnoodle dogs named Mitzy and daVinci and a stepdog, Lucielle.
I love to read, write, watch films, crochet, other needle arts, learning flyfishing, spending time with my DH.

Other Information:
My life has changed due to my surgery and I'm so excited!

Coffee mug full of wine HMM!!Interesting concept.. I love red....
I am just starting seven days called Simple Start it is WW and and does not involve counting points, eat until satisfied 3 meals and 3 snacks per day and
we get seven points per day for an indulgence ,things that are not on our power food list,wine is one of them so I can enjoy 5ozs with my dinner every
evening, or not, and with luck and some effort I will drop up to five pounds in that time frame. Wish me luck..
I am about to have breakfast of an english muffin with scrambled eggs tomato and FFcheese ,popped under the broiler to melt the cheese. emoticon
