My name is Abby, or Abigail, whichever rolls off your fingers better. As I've gotten older I prefer Abigail because it is old-fashioned and sounds a bit classier to me.

On August 15th, 2013 I had gastric bypass surgery. I am down 76 pounds since the surgery and 112 overall. I feel great and realize this is a slow and steady process. I didn't get here overnight and the weight won't shed off of me overnight. It wasn't until the surgery that I felt I have an addiction problem. It seems funny to me that I didn't think so before since I went to such an extreme measure to help correct my ways, but I didn't. Now I get it and am making decisions to help with the addictive part of my behavior.

Other things about me:

I love to read.

I also cross-stitch and crochet. I like to make things and keep my hands busy.

I am an advisor at a community college. I love my job and working with students. I found it ironic that I became an advisor and my name is Abby...who would have thought!

You have done an AMAZING job on this journey during BLC 24!!! Please do not get discouraged by the scale, we all hit those plateaus!!!! Try mixing up your routine and see what happens. (eat larger breakfast and smaller dinner, strength training before cardio, etc)
