Following Through With My Goals

Hello my fellow Sparkers! I never ever know what to write about on these types of things. I guess I'll just open with some honesty. I have fallen of the wagon, so to speak. It all began in November of 2010. My husband was deployed while I was a full-time mom of four with a full-time job. I just got back from vacation with my husband during his R&R when I lost my job (Nov 2010). My husband came home in Jan 2011 and about 6 weeks later I learned that we were expecting another baby. Now it is May ...
Hello my fellow Sparkers! I never ever know what to write about on these types of things. I guess I'll just open with some honesty. I have fallen of the wagon, so to speak. It all began in November of 2010. My husband was deployed while I was a full-time mom of four with a full-time job. I just got back from vacation with my husband during his R&R when I lost my job (Nov 2010). My husband came home in Jan 2011 and about 6 weeks later I learned that we were expecting another baby. Now it is May 2013...We are very happily married with five kids and barely making it (financially). I have not been able to find equivalent work since losing my job (that has been a depressive factor). I have a child graduating next year and one about to enter high school. I have a first grader and one entering Kindergarten. My littlest one is turning two in October! I have been home with the kids since the job loss. I am needing a change in my life. I need a make over! I need to get my body back! I feel it is my DUTY to be the role model my family deserves. I can begin by feeding my family the best homemade meals. I will find and implement new fun activities we all can enjoy. I promise to enjoy and embrace all the changes I am making that is for the betterment for myself and our family.

I live in Colorado with my Husband and five children (17, 13, 6, 5 and 1 1/2 years old). We love sports and outdoor activities :) I am currently an Electrical Engineering student at the University of Colorado.

Think of healthy living as a career. Make goal setting a regular part of your life. Become a permanent participant in sustaining better lifestyle choices. Focus on one goal at a time to become a healthier you. Develop an action plan for each goal and finish what you start. Each positive change will lead you to better results. You CAN and WILL turn your GOALS into the results that you are striving for!
