Recently diagnosed with hypothyroidism and had to change my nutritional intake to keep my carbs down and protein up.
I try to keep my calories between 1,200 - 1,375. Carbs 95-125g. Fat 27 - 47 and Protein 60 - 105.
Born 1950. I've had severe arthritis since my mid-30's and have undergone multiple hand surgeries (joint fusions, replacements, etc.) I also had a triple cervical fusion. Now have hypothyroidism. Old age ... gotta love it.
I've been married since 1981 to a great guy; no children. I have two wonderful cats that are the light of my life. I'm a big fan of cats, and known as the cat lady by friends and family. Over the years I've always had cats that live to a ripe old age and one dog (a Westie) that lived to 16 which was almost unheard of as they usually live only 10-12 years.
I attend a wonderful Church and enjoy my immediate family and friendships.
Thank Goodness I've had things to do during this 4 months. I've shopped for new furniture, chosen colors for paint, carpets, tile, countertops, cabinets and finishing touches. My DH doesn't know how lucky he was not to have to do any of that. He didn't realize it until the day we met with the Superintendent and I had all the answers, all organized. He said he was impressed.
The fun will really begin when I can start arranging all that new furniture as I want it, and deciding on accessories. I think it will be something like childbirth -- you forget the pain and hard work, and just rejoice in the new house (baby). lol
