Yeah, I am feeling good. I struggle with consistency at times, and tend to hover, and then drop weight.

A friend of mine wanted to lose weight, so I started being consistent while he was doing the diet, and we both lost 20-30 lbs. Now I am hovering at 180-185 again, while eating a few more carbs, and trying to regroup.

At first, I tend to struggle to stay at a weight, then I find it easy, and eventually, I will struggle to stay at that weight, and then I just drop carbs a little, and head on down 20 lbs. or so, and repeat ... my new goal is 200 lbs. lost. ( 161 ).

Just keep on trying, and if you slip, make sure it is as short a period as possible. We tend to know where we started, and keep that number in mind, so when we go off plan, we tend to not stop until we gained back exactly what we lost. So if my number in my head is 225, and I weigh 198, I would go off plan, and at 223, I would tell myself.. if I hit 225, I need to get back on my diet. When I weighed in a week later, I would be 227.

Because we focus so much on numbers, we know every level along the way. I stick at 280, 260,245, 230, 215, 199, and obviously 180. Those are natural set points, but we add a mental aspect because we accept going up one rung before we get back on track. I tell myself that a 5 lb. gain means it is time to get back on track ( 185 ), but my heart is saying.. just don't get back over 200..lol. It is a constant struggle to limit myself to a 5 lb range, and not a 20 lb. range. If we weren't so obsessed with numbers, we might not allow ourselves to reach the next level up, instead waking up the morning after we cheated, and saying, I am going to re-start immediately.

I'm making progress though, and happy to see you back, so you can make progress too.

It's a beautiful day here in New York City.
I will be out for the whole day today. It is my sons birthday. We will be going to dinner this evening. Not to worry I already did the tracker. Steak, half of a baked potato(will share with hubby),salad and a diet coke. One bite of my sons birthday cake, for luck. Will stay on track.
Grandson is coming too. We will be taking him to Van Cortlandt Park, to the duck pond to feed the ducks and then to play ground. So lots of walking today, bending and pushing grandnson on the swing.
Enjoy your weekend
