I loathe exercise

So, I'm badly out of shape and I know it. I sort of fell out of caring for a long time and now I think I'll try to at least care a little. I'll ease my way into getting a little more exercise and maybe eating a little bit less and see how it works out.

I'm not really sure what I want to put here but I wanted to get this up so I could tell myself I have a page up and that I'm not too lazy to finish one.

And now that I've had this up for awhile. I feel like I should add more. I'm the strange traveller in my family. I've lived in a few states and I've lived in Canada for awhile. I think I'm pretty settled in Oregon for now though.

I've been overweight for most of my adult life. I had lost quite a bit of it a few years ago and managed to get into shape but then let myself slide out again. Not feeling in shape is not fun and, even without any weight loss, I'd like to be able to run a lot more and do regular pushups. It is important to me to feel in shape.

Beyond that, I'm a nerdy college student with a love of reading a lot of historical non-fiction and I currently have been knitting a lot. I play Dungeons and Dragons on the weekends and have been thinking about joining an archery club.

My Goals:
I'd like to eventually reach a healthy weight for my height. I haven't been close to one really since I hit adolescence.

My Program:
It's the basics of eating better and working out more. It sounds much more simple than it is.

I'm originally from Baltimore, MD and have been living in Eugene, OR for the last few years (with some time in Athens, GA and Val-d'Or, QC between these places)

I was looking at your planned rewards in your signature, and I got to thinking "you're such a nerd!" You are so nerdy-cool! What mangas do you like? And who is your doll? She looks manga/anime to me.

Anway, stay cool and true to who you are. Hope the school thing works out well for you. Keep at it, it's worth the work. Even if, like me, you end up being a stay-at-home mom or something...at least we can say we finished what we started!! And that's what is important..let's finish what we started here on Spark, too.

(guess I gave myself a little pep talk there....didn't mean to be so long. emoticon )
