I first came to SparkPeople a little over a week ago. At that time I really didn't have too much to say. I was such a sad, big fat girl. I was truly pathetic. Now, I realize that it has only been 11 days since I began my journey with SparkPeople, but for the fist time in ages, I am just a big fat girl. I am not so sad anymore. AND, I don't plan on being big and fat for any longer than I have to be. I am a mother to two wonderful teens and my hubby is simply amazing ...

Now, I realize that it has only been 11 days since I began my journey with SparkPeople, but for the fist time in ages, I am just a big fat girl. I am not so sad anymore. AND, I don't plan on being big and fat for any longer than I have to be. I am a mother to two wonderful teens and my hubby is simply amazing to me. I have a house full of great animals, whom I love. It was time for me to change how I see myself, so that I can change how others see me. All of this was brought on by a photograph. A recent one. Now, I hate having my picture taken, but I managed to live through a couple of them on this past New Year's Eve. A friend of mine posted them on Facebook and that was all she wrote. The next morning I was online looking for help getting healthy and I got lucky. I found SparkPeople!

My Goals:
I think I need to lose about 100 pounds to be really healthy, but I just want to bend over to tie my damn shoes without cutting off my air supply!! My goal is to lose that 100 pounds in a year!
My Program:
I need to eat more. Breakfast is a start. My eating schedule is pretty sporadic. I eat when I want to and many days that might only be once a day or I might skip eating all together. I have been told that to lose weight I need to eat more, I need to pay attention to WHAT I eat, rather than my current tendency to eat what is convenient rather than what might be the best for me. I need to get off the couch!!! I have made a promise to myself that, despite the back pain, I will do 10 minutes of cardio a day! Increase H2O intake! Add something physical. I need to work out. You know, get my heart rate up!! Have my wonderful hubby help since he volunteered!
Personal Information:
I have travelled with various carnivals for most of my adult life. I love it! I will go back when the kids get out of high school! Didn't have a weight problem when I was working all the time out on the road, and I was the Cotton Candy Lady!! Go figure!!!
Other Information:
I love to read and write. I adore my family and friends! I love my dogs: "Morphius," a beagle, rott, dobie mix and "Lestat," a boston bull terrier, chiuahua, pug mix, and my cat "Billie." I want to be here to take care of them and if I continue to gain weight like this it will kill me and then who will care for all my babies?!?
