Kym's Gonna Lose it!

I am a married full time working mom of 3 children, 2 of are special needs. I am truly unhappy in my body and am looking for a change, to not only better me, but my entire family!

After the birth of my 4 year old son, I suffered severe ppd. It was horrible. I lost tons of weight becuase I was so sick. After the birth of my 4 year old son, I suffered severe ppd. It was horrible. I lost tons of weight becuase I was so sick. I was my lowest weight at that time of 197 (in 2005). 13 months later I got pregnant with my youngest, gained over 40+ pounds and have since kept gaining! For some reason I just can NOT shake this weight. I am at my heaviest right now of 268 (01/22/10) and hate who I am and what I look like. I feel horrible that my husband has me as his wife, and that my children have me as their mom. Who wants to be married to the "fat wife" or "HUGE mom"?? It's so bad now that I don't even like going out in public and doing enjoyable things. My hubby goes out with our friends and I stay home with the kids. On the weekends, I get up, do house work, shower and get back in my PJ's, so i don't have to struggle finding something that fits me. Only 1 person truly knows how much this is affecting my daily life and I need to change! I WANT to be happy, active, attractive and enjoy my family and friends again! Can I do this??

My Program:
Watching what I put into my mouth = Healthier eating (No diet!)
Portion Control
Get daily exercise - my goal is at least 30 minutes of cardio per day, as of right now.

Strenght training 3 times per week
Cardio remaining days, can be done in ANY form, zumba, running, biking etc.

Short term goals - continue running 5K -10K races

Long Term Goal - Run a 1/2 Marathon, preferably a disney one!

Hey girl! How's it going? You weren't lying about the cardio! It kicked my butt, but it feels great afterwards!! I can't believe I'm that sore from yesterday, during the workout it didn't seem like I was really working that hard but I feel it today!!! It's one of those good pains though! It felt so good to mark day 2 off on my calander. Sounds small but it feels like such a huge accomplishment! Keep it up girl! You're doing great!! emoticon
