2015 is going to ROCK, and so am I!!!

I am 53 years old with 8 children, 10 grandchildren and a new grandbaby on the way-life is amazing!! Though I now have an almost empty nest, with just my precious14 year old girl at home, we've had a rough 2 years with a divorce and multiple moves as we try to settle into our new lives. I'm re-setting my goals, and I think it's time for us to concentrate on better health for both of us. We started doing a cou0le of "fun-runs" this summer, (walk-runs) and LOVED them, deciding to make a minimum ...
We started doing a cou0le of "fun-runs" this summer, (walk-runs) and LOVED them, deciding to make a minimum of 12, or one per month in 2015, but aiming for 24--the only difficulty is affording the sign-ups for them all, but we're focused and working towards our goal. Finally finishing both of my Bachelor degrees in Psychology and Criminal Justice, hopefully picking up a Master's and simply being the best mom and grandmother and me possible, I can be are on tap for this year. When I started my weight loss journey at 205 pounds, I started with my daughter using the Weight Watchers plan. When she became pregnant, I stuck with WW a couple of months, and then went off on my own plan, and continued successfully to lose weight. After a serious injury resulting in almost a year in a wheelchair, I regained over half of the 80 pounds I'd lost, and have been really struggling to get back on track and stay there. Have lost some of it, but certainly not all, actually been back and forth with this regained weight due to depression and trying to adjust to this new life--so here's a to new me, a new life, and a happy new year in 2015~Kymberleigh

I can do this, and I AM worth it!!!

"Making changes in your life is never an easy task. The key, however, is not to get caught up in the distance you have to go to get to where you want to be. Nor should you despair over the amount of control you have over your circumstances. Progress is made in the small, intentional steps, and chances are, you have more power than you think. By focusing on little steps you can take every day, the progress you make will motivate you to continue your journey, and eventually, you can go wherever you want to go. The important thing is simply to begin."

"The first step to living the life you want is leaving the life you don't want.
Taking the first step forward is always the hardest.
But then each step forward gets easier and easier.
Each step forward gets you closer and closer until eventually, what had once been invisible starts to be visible.
And what had once felt impossible starts to feel possible."

"Today is a new day. It's a day you have never seen before and will never see again.
Stop telling yourself the 'same crap, different day' lie! How many days has that lie stolen from you?
Seize the wonder and uniqueness of today! Recognize that throughout this beautiful day, you have an incredible amount of opportunities to move your life into the direction you want it to go.”
-Steve Maraboli
