Rocking this summer out!!!

Though I now have an almost empty nest, with just my precious14 year old girl at home, we've had a tumultuous year in 2013, and 2014 is about to be taken on hard. I'm re-setting my goals, and I think it's time to learn to take better care of myself. Working on my Bachelor degrees in Psychology and Criminal Justice, learning to live with less, and being the best mom and grandmother I can be are on tap for this year. So far, I've been able to kick start this summer with my 1st 5K Color Vibe and I see more to come. When I started my weight loss journey at 205 pounds, I started with my daughter using the Weight Watchers plan. When she became pregnant, I stuck with WW a couple of months, and then went off on my own plan, and continued successfully to lose weight. After a serious injury resulting in almost a year in a wheelchair, I regained over half of the 70 pounds I'd lost, and have been really struggling to get back on track and stay there. Have lost some of it, but certainly not all, so here's a to new me~Kymberleigh

I can do this, and I AM worth it!!!

Happy Earth Day! Monday, April 22nd is Earth Day a day to be in wonder of this wonderful world we live in. There's so many things that you can do to honor Earth Day this month. Take some time to think about how you recycle or reuse things around your home. Maybe pick up a new habit clean habit to honor Earth Day.

"There is hope if people will begin to awaken that spiritual part of themselves, that heartfelt knowledge that we are caretakers of this planet." (Brooke Medicine Eagle)

“The whole idea of motivation is a trap. Forget motivation. Just do it. Exercise, lose weight, test your blood sugar, or whatever. Do it without motivation. And then, guess what? After you start doing the thing, that's when the motivation comes and makes it easy for you to keep on doing it.”
-John C. Maxwell

"The common conception is that motivation leads to action, but the reverse is true....action precedes motivation. You have to "prime the pump" and get the juice flowing, which motivates you to work on your goals. Getting momentum going is the most difficult part of the job, and often taking the first step is enough to prompt you to make the best of your day."
-Robert McKain

"Making changes in your life is never an easy task. The key, however, is not to get caught up in the distance you have to go to get to where you want to be. Nor should you despair over the amount of control you have over your circumstances. Progress is made in the small, intentional steps, and chances are, you have more power than you think. By focusing on little steps you can take every day, the progress you make will motivate you to continue your journey, and eventually, you can go wherever you want to go. The important thing is simply to begin."
-Stephen Cherniske
