Hi!! My name is Kyle and I am actually a girl named Kyle (I know it's not a very common name for a girl, but I have grown to like it) I am 27 years old and I currently teach elementary art, and I tutor part time after school. I am also working on my Master's degree in Educational Administration so I have no trouble keeping myself busy. I joined Spark People after my doctor suggested it, and I have found a great deal of support on this site. I have always been chubby, but have always been able to hide it pretty well. The older I get, the harder it is to hide, because I find my body readjusting and storing fat in places it never did before, like my stomach. I am tired of hiding it though. I want to feel comfortable in a bathing suit, and sleeveless shirts. At the time I joined this sight, I was almost 40 pounds under my highest weight. I still have a ways to go to get where I need to be. But I will get there! I Have to get there! And I am motivated to do whatever I need to do in order to lose weight in a healthy way. I am so excited to meet the thinner, happier, healthier ME! I want to keep a record of my struggles and accomplishments, however I am not yet comfortable enough to post my current weight. Let me get a few more pounds off and I'll think about it. So for now I will just put it in terms of pounds lost ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ STARTING WEIGHT - 3/13/2008 5/28-2006 - Hard work is paying off DOWN 27 POUNDS! 8 pounds to go to reach goal !! FIRST GOAL - LOSE 36 POUNDS (accomplished 6/24/08) Inches lost as of 6/24/08 Neck - 1 Arms- 1.75 each Chest - 1.25 Waist - 5 Upper Hip - 9 Lower Hip - 2.75 Thigh - 1.5 each Knee - .25 each Total inches lost - 26 SECOND GOAL - LOSE 20 MORE POUNDS for a total of 56 POUNDS! (accomplished ????) 9/21/2008 - I am struggling to meet that second goal..The school year started and I have NO time to exercise, and I find myself so hungry by the end of the day that I stuff my face with whatever happens to be around. I have about 11 more pounds to get to that second goal I set for myself....I gotta keep working on it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

My Goals:
When I first joined a few years ago I was super motivated and I lost 60 pounds. Not for any particular event in life, but simply because I knew I needed to. Now, I have slowly let some of those pounds creep back on and I need to stay motivated to get them back off again. My life has changed from what it was a few years ago. I have alot to look forward to in the next few years. I recently took a vacation to Hawaii and have done some other traveling. I have found myself in an amazing relationship with someone I can see myself with forever. I would like to spend the next few years and the events to come as a healthier, happier thinner person
My Program:
My spark goals tell me I should be consuming between 1200- 1550 calories. I am trying to keep that number closer to 1200. I exercise 5 times a week. I am lucky to have a workout buddy named Leda. We keep each other motivated! 5 days a week I do at least an hour of cardio, usually walking, and three days a week I do some strength training. Denise Austin "Shrink your female fat zones" video has been our favorite strength training workout lately.
Other Information:
When I do have free time I enjoy scrapbooking, rollerskating, and spending time with my friends and family. I love the beach and I am looking forward to a time when I am comfortable enough to spend an entire day at the beach in my bathing suit and wear those cute little sun dresses!
