I am a 39 year old mother of 6. Actually I birthed 4 daughters and I have another son and daughter from my husband's previous relationship. I have been strugling with my weight for the past 4 years especially. In the past 2 years I have lost 30 pounds and gained it back. I've lost 20 pounds and gained that back. Right now I just want to get motivated again to lose weight and have more energy to just complete normal everyday tasks.

1/14/10- Well I wanted to update my page..I am now 40 years old. I have thankfully lost approx. 60 pounds following the Dr. Simeon's protocol and HCG. I maintained pretty well, then gained some back over the past month or so. This has been a great journey, as I am learning so much about food, my body, and my relationship with food. I'm praying that God will give me the strength to maintain this loss of unwanted fat and keep the healthy mind fram and relationship with food. So, I started this round somewhere around 195, then once I loaded, I think I was up to 201. I'm steadily coming down and as of today, I'm at 180. I think I will be able to reach my goal weight this round. I'm on day 20 of round 3. We'll see how it goes...

My Goals:
I'd like to lose 50 pounds, have more energy and be happy with myself without giving up and becoming comfortable with being overweight.

My Program:
I'm trying to basically cut my portions in half, stop eating so late in the evening and make sure I get some type of excercise at least three times a week.

Personal Information:
I'm from Litlle Rock Arkansas. My email address is kyesha_raulston@yahoo.com. I'm really tired of spending money on this and that to help me lose weight. While I have seen definite weight loss on some of the programs, I also worked out and watched my calories.

My kids range from age 4-20. I need to get started!

I was curious how you were doing. I just read a post that you wrote (on a blog) about a month ago. Said you were starting another round. but you also talked about gaining the weight back. I've had great success keeping my weight off with www.marksdailyapple.com It is basically called the primal diet. It is just about the same as phase 3 but with an 80/20 rule. I needed something to help keep the weight off and it was it for me. If you go to the website type "primal recipes" into the search. You'll get a ton of phase 3 acceptable recipes. Definately made life easier!

I'm reading the BECK DIET SOLUTION, which isn't a "diet" but she teaches how to THINK like a THIN person. (Got a copy from the library.) I recommend it to everyone. (We have a support team here at Sparks.)

BECK Diet Solution WEIGHT LOSS ADVANTAGES:

3. I値l be able to wear a smaller size.
4. I値l be able to wear nicer clothes.
5. I値l like what I see in the mirror.

CRAVING RESISTANCE
Cravings are usually more emotional and physiologically intense than hunger. The moment I decide I will ABSOLUTELY NOT EAT cravings will diminish.
When I experience a craving my attention gets fixated on food. It is important to remember that the experience of eating goes far beyond the actual time that food is in my mouth - It includes everything that happens afterward: feeling weak, guilty and out of control and gaining weight. In the past when I tried to diet, I gave into cravings, and I felt upset with myself.

I know I don't care at this moment, but pretty soon I'm going to feel really bad that I ate this. When I get on the scale, I'm going to care very much. If I don't learn to resist eating food I'm not suppose to have, I'll never be able to keep off the weight I lose.

I have to become an expert at resisting all food that I haven't planned to eat. If I want to lose weight and keep it off, I just can't eat what I want unless it is on my plan.

I am choosing to say NO CHOICE.
If I want to lose weight, I have to do what I need to do, not what I feel like doing.

Successful dieters and maintainers stay successful because they don't eat whatever they want, whenever they want it. They stick to their plans.

It is true that I don't care at this moment. But if I eat this unplanned food, I'm going to care quite a lot in a few minutes. I know I'll feel really bad if I give in now, but I'll feel really terrific in a few minutes if I resist. I need to do something else!
