I am 37, have been on Spark since Jan 2010, a year into this journey, 80 lbs lost and the dreaded last 10-15 to go! Hoping it doesnt take me a whole other year just to lose those last few pounds. Hoping to run my first 5 k this spring, bought my new running shoes last weekend, so lets hope they give me the extra motivation I need.

Now at 85 pounds lost, but as I perdicted, this last 10-15 is taking me alot longer then the first 80! Partly due to some head stuff of my own, and partly due to the fact I dont have as much to lose so its a slower process. Im still hoping to reach 140 and Im now only 5 lbs away, but that may take me till my year and a half anniversary at the rate Im going, so fingers crossed that its way before then.

Now back up to just 80 lbs lost, body keeps bouncing between those 5 lbs, so I will have to see if I can force it to change, or be happy where Im at. On the positive, I reached another goal, ran my first 5k this weekend, no stops! Im most proud of that, in this last part of my journey.

Sucks to be me right now, but its my own fault. Im up about another 20, still fitting in my size 8s/10s much closer to the 10s, but I know if I dont get cracking, 12s are in my very near future. The mental part of this is so much bigger then anything else, I dont know if I have what it takes....but Ill keep trying.

My Goals:
Goal one: reach 140
Goal two: tone up
Goal three: run a 5k don 6/25/11
Goal four: size 8 jeans done 12/20/10

My Program:
I pretty much watch my nutirtion like a hawk and get my butt into the gym 6 days a week. I do running 3x a week, swimming once a week and ST twice a week. Try to keep my water intake up and my fat intake down!

ETA: Updated may, 2011: For now I am in training for my first 5k, so I now do 3.1 miles everyother day, accept for a two day off for the weekend. On my alternating day I do the 30 day shred with 5lb weights. Once I complete the 5k, Ill be back to swimming and ST.

Im orginally from the Upper Pennisula, now a troll living under the bridge for the past 20 years. Im a Michigan State grad (go Spartans!!) with a degree in Finance. I have my highschool sweetheart as my husband, and we are blessed with 3 beautiful children. I have been a SAHM for the past 10 years, but will be heading back out there soon.

    I found your comment on a beginning runners post and what got me was you couldn't run for a minute without feeling like you were going to puke! HELLO Sista!! LOL I just did Jeff Galloway's run 30 seconds walk 30 seconds 1/2 hr pod cast and the best I could do was 4 almost 5 30 second runs. . . BUT only because I read your post! THANK YOU!

    Thanks for your comment on my blog. I live 15 miles from any gym, and that is really not an option for me. We do actually have a pool, but of course it is too cold to utilize it now! I certainly plan to do lots of my workouts in it this summer!
