Terry's Weight Loss Journey

Figured I better update this since someone felt the need to post I had only lost 6 pounds in four years. I HAVE been a member of Sparkpeople for about four years and used it to successfully lose a few years ago. Then, I decided that I could do it on my own....and tried a bajillion "fads" that I thought might be better, up to and including the Body Bugg....one of the most expensive fads I have ever tried. I did lose, but the bug was annoying and it is EXPENSIVE to use (the website is NOT free ...
I did lose, but the bug was annoying and it is EXPENSIVE to use (the website is NOT free and you cannot get the data without using the website). So, when a family member was diagnosed with serious health problems last year due to obesity, I said ENOUGH. I came back to Sparkpeople to lose this last 15-20 pounds and keep it of for good. I started at 160 four years ago. My tracker below will show where I am and where I want to be. I am proud of losing the 40 pounds I did lose and at the same time frustrated at gaining back 20 of them. They are soon to be history.

Thanks for the comment on the travel blog! Man I thought I was a planner, I think you may have me beat! ;-) I definitely like to have a clean house to come home to. We learned our lesson a few times when coming home to a house we didn't clean before leaving and it's SO depressing! Good for you for keepin' it all organized. I hope its appreciated!

Thanku for responding to my topic, "jealous".
I wasn't being sarcastic when I said my problems will vanish when I reach my goal weight. I meant it. But I don't know if new probs will shoot up. God forbid!
I'm dreaming of starting a garment boutique after I reach my goal weight. By then my daughter will be ready for school. I'm also dreaming of more babies after I get fit and writing a novel is a long term goal. :-)
All the best in ur journey! Nice meeting u!

I can do that on my bathroom scale....I just wanted to be able to plop the suitcase on the Wii Fit board and have it weigh itself LOL....but I did find that I can buy a cheap luggage scale and that will resolve my problem! Thanks for your help!

Hi! I have a suggestion about how you could weigh you suitcase using the Wii fit. Create a new profile or use the "guest" option. Do the body test with you standing on the scale. Exit the program, restart, choose guest again, and weigh yourself while holding the suitcase. Choose the option not to continue the body scan after the weigh-in/balance test. :)
