Most wheat breads have high fructose corn syrup or are "posers" and it and acts like white bread in the body. Even some 100% whole wheat breads are nothing more than slightly improved versions of white bread. It is hard to find a REAL "100% whole wheat bread." There are one or two out there but if you go to the store wanting to pick up whole wheat and you find they don't have the good one more than likely you will pick up the next closest. Buying 100% whole grain is the best choice for your body because of the extra fiber in whole grains makes you feel fuller longer, which means you eat less. It also helps level out the peaks and valleys of insulin after eating a meal produces. I hope this clears things up.
