Finding the Fab Under The Flab
I've recently embarked on a major lifestyle change, saying "goodbye" to cigarettes, sugar and other refined carbs, and my sedentary lifestyle. I plan to say "goodbye" to the fifty-plus pounds that lifestyle's helped me pile on, too!

My Goals:
- Eat more plants - Eat less meat - Kick bad habits - Improve flexibility - Lose weight
My Program:
I've become a "vegetarian by day" and also eating meatless 3 nights per week. I'm cutting out sugar, refined carbs, and cutting back alcohol. It's already paying off in how much better I feel! As far as exercise, I'm pretty active around the house already: cleaning, gardening, playing with my son. Now I'm adding yoga and walking, and plan to add weight training as soon as school lets out at the end of May.
Personal Information:
Mid-40s, married to my best friend (even though his naturally high metabolism makes me so jealous!). Mom to a very active pre-teen who sees it as his personal mission to get me to move more, and an athletic college senior daughter who's my favorite cheerleader.
Other Information:
I'd lost close to 40 pounds on meal-replacement program, but never learned how to eat properly on my own. Needless to say, the weight is all baaaaackkk (well, actually, it's on my front... as in my belly). This time, I'm not going to diet. Instead, I'm going to learn a new way to live.
