It's time to do this the right way!

Hello, my name is Kryston. I've battled with my weight for my entire life. I'm 22 years old, and am currently in a registered nursing program. In addition, I'm getting married December 19 and would like to lose 30 lbs before then. I've done it before, so I know I can do it again. In the past, I had lost 100 lbs, gained 35, lost that same 35, then gained that friggin 35 lbs again. So here I am. I know that I just need encouragement and support. Most importantly, I need to do it the RIGHT way ...

My Goals:
I have many goals. I want to lose this weight, and be healthy for once. I also want to get married this December, and hopefully have a happy marriage. In April of 2010, I want to graduate as a registered nurse with honors.

My Program:
 I'm focusing on eating no more than 1700 calories per day. I usually eat a very high fiber diet, so I will continue in doing so. I will also aim for working out 3-5 days a week.

Personal Information:
I'm from Oklahoma, born and raised. I have three dogs that are my entire world. (hehe) I'm very much so into death metal/grind/grindcore music. I'm also incredibly interested in anything medical. I'm very excited to begin my career as a RN soon. I'm also looking forward to beginning the 'married' life with my fiance', Byron. :)

I wish my entire fellow Sparkers a Happy and Healthy Thanksgiving. I am so thankful for each and every one of you. I am thankful to have you as part of my extended family as we say on our team. You have helped make me the person I am today. I am getting healthier and stronger everyday with your constant support and motivation.

My advice for the Holiday, choose your battles carefully. Tread carefully here my friends. The consequence of your choices will all be on you. You have worked too hard and you look too good to blow it now. You joined SparkPeople to overcome these urges or learn how to plan for them so you can indulge in a comfort food here or there. Don’t forget all of the hard work you have put in and all you have learned. You have come so far! Learn how to celebrate the day without the emphasis on food. If you should indulge in that dessert please make sure that you and your family, we want them healthy too, take a long walk after dinner to digest and burn off some of the calories from dinner. Hitting the couch after a big Thanksgiving meal is now a thing of the past. Yup, no more.

Happy Thanksgiving! If you are driving, travel safely!
