Maintaining

newest update: 4/24/13 I'm below my goal weight and plan to just maintain. Its been great loosing with sparkpeople and I look forward to maintaining with yall! I love my spark people friends!

I used a log book to eliminate most of my migraine triggers from my life. Used this one to reduce the amount of pain I have from Fibromyalgia. It's an awesome added bonus that the site also has glucose trackers, recipes, calorie counters, and so many cool features I haven't totally explored yet. My main goals are eliminating the pesticide heavy , highly processed foods I've been eating and doing more activities.

To eliminate pesticides, I have switched to buying most of my food at a local CNG farmer's market. I recently bought a share of the CSA for fresh veggies. It's been wonderful! So much of the food has taste! Our little farm here in Balch Springs is aptly named Eden's. It is a little piece of heaven.

Adding activity to my life for pain control sounded backwards to me at first, but looking at the various studies, it's been shown that activity actually slows the progression and helps with pain control. SOOO on days I feel the worst, the days I just can't get out of bed because my muscles are not working and when I finally get them moving, its like walking through neck high mud laced with shards of glass, its those days I should work out the most. Telling that to my mind when I'm in pain, that's hard, but I've been really trying.
