Good job getting on the treadmill- I am not a big fan of machine workouts either. But I have been finding ways to make it more enjoyable. I moved it to a room where I can watch my kids play and by the computer where I can crank up the music. A really good website is "Pandora's" which is a free music website that you create playlists with your favorite music. I have a playlist called "Club/dance" and it plays all kinds of treadmill inspiring tunes. One thing I realized about my past relationship with the treadmill is that I used to think I had to kill myself on it- but I recently started going a little easier on myself and I am more inclined to hop on it, plus I feel results. Any exercise is better than none- and I know that I will up the speed and difficulty as I feel the need. Keep at it! emoticon

No problem with the suggestion! I hope you can find it and like it! I love it! I am a member of the military wives group, but like you said, there isn't much going on with it. I talked to another member and we are supposed to start going on walks together. Last week was kind of crazy, though, so we will probably start this week. What other kinds of things do you do? I am always up for trying new things! I hope you had a great weekend!!!

Glad you got the gym stuff straightened out. I'm sure that was stressful.

As far as the Wii goes, I agree, that a lot of the games aren't *really* exercise, but a couple are quite good. I recently bought the EA Active Sports game that has a 30-Day-Challenge that goes with it. You don't have to have the Wii Fit to use it, and it's really intense. It integrates strength and cardio exercises, and each workout is about 30 minutes long. My husband and I have been doing those together and we both work up a heavy sweat. It's the most intense game that I've got for my Wii, and I really enjoy it. As far as the Wii Fit goes, it's fun, too. I find myself spending lots of time playing the games for it, but I don't really feel like I've been exercising until my muscles ache later on.

Try playing the Wii Sports game that comes with it. If you like the games like tennis or boxing, you'll probably like the Wii Fit games, too.

    Good luck!

Thank you so much for your comment on my blog and the good advice for healthy snacks for our grand children. Maybe I don't need to panic after all, your list of example snacks helps more than you can know. God bless your family for your service to our country and enjoy your next tour. My husband is retired military but we never were lucky enough to be stationed in Hawaii. Best wishes and Aloha. Toni
