Hi, I am in the process of changing my life. I have been taking care of my family for years and not taking care of my self. I am now learning how to do what is best for me. I am going on a bike trip with a group of women in June and I need to be ready for that! I am also going on a trip to Europe with my Mom in Setember, I will be meeting relatives and I want to look and feel great.

UPDATE January 2009: I started bootcamp for the kick off to get back on track. I gained 5 lbs. over the holidays and that is as far backwards as I am willing to go! I am heading to Europe in April ( the trip I didn't take last fall). I am going on a bike trip this June and I want to be in top form.

Update October 24, 2008: I am now at 30lbs. lost, it took me a little longer than I had anticipated but I am still headed in the right direction. I know that I have slowed down because I have not been exercising and I am eating a bit more than before. So as I head into Fall and then Winter I know I need to focus and work harder.

DATE: July 30, 2008. As of today I have lost a total of 25 pounds. I am right on target for my goal of 30 pounds lost by Sept. 1st. I am feeling good and as though this is easier than I had anticipated, it doesn't seem like I have changed all that much except my attitude! I know I must pay attention. I have lost a third of what I intend on losing.

One of the funny things is that people don't really notice much difference yet. I guess once you are pretty big, 25 lbs. is not that different looking from the outside. I feel different and my clothes fit differently and for me that is what counts the most!

My Goals:
My immediate goal is to become as fit as I can during the next month. On June 14th I am leaving for a weeklong bicycle trip and I don't want to be at the end of the line! (I was not at the end of the line! I found myself to be far more capable than I ever anticipated. Rode 50 miles one day!

My mid-range goal is to lose 30 lbs. by Sept. 1st. I am attending a wedding but more importantly I am going on a trip with My Mom to Norway and Germany and I want to feel comfortable traveling as well as look and feel good meeting relatives!

    HI!! I didn't even realize it had been 2 years. Thanks for noticing!! It's amazing to think that I started with just crunches a little over 2 years ago. I slacked on them for awhile but I do them almost every day now. I helped Rosa make a plan too and she has been doing an excellent job with it!! It's so cool.
