My Program:
Right now I'm doing Jillian Michaels' 30-Day Shred.

I'm also trying to get back into running and am running 3 miles about 2-3 times per week. I'm thinking of signing up for a 5k to motivate me to run again!

It went great! I completed the race in under 2 1/2 hours (which I was hoping for) at @ 11 min/mile pace. I was very comfortable through 8 - then it seemed to drag a little. We had a monster hill between 9 and 10 - everyone had to walk up it! Once we got through 10, I knew exactly where we were, so I knew the end was in sight. I finished strong - I usually am so tired at the end of long runs - but felt good so I could sprint a little to the finish line. My husband and kids came down - they were close to the finish, I was able to see them and wave (they made signs to cheer me on!). It was not easy, but will definitely do another this year. And, I wasn't so sore as I'd expected - total bonus. I'm so glad I didn't listen to myself and sign up for the 10K - the leap of faith was totally worth it!

Hey- Thanks for the add. I like your exercise plan- the shred and running, just like me. :P I'm onto other Jillian dvd's now, they all get such amazing results!! Good luck to you and your training as well for the half- I already feel the count-down....I just got a Jeff Galloway book with some training plans, not sure what I'll do yet, I have a feeling I might make one up based on one of his plans.
