Hi, I joined Spark after watching some great inspirational vidoes on YouTube. I am hoping to find more support and inspiration by joining! I was engaged in December of 2008 and find my wedding day fast approaching. Sooooooo...........when I though I had "plenty of time" is pretty much gone. Down to business it is! I have never been a "small girl." Nor do I want to be "skinny." I want to be healthy. I want to feel good. I want to get out of bed and feel like I can face my closet! I don't really have an end goal. I do want to lose about 70 pounds before my wedding. If I feel good before that - so be it. If I feel I need to lose more at that point I will re-evaluate. I don't really have a hard, fast number in mind.

My Goals:
Along with losing about 70 pounds before my wedding day, I also want to feel better overall. I would like to get into strength training so I can look lean and toned for my wedding day. My ultimate goal cardiowise is to complete a 5K by early spring.


My Program:
I am dedicating myself to exercise at least 5 times per week. I am also journaling my food intake and tracking my feelings as I am an emotional/stress eater. Fiber and fruit/veggie intake is also a priority.



Personal Information:
I am born and bred in extreme northern Minnesota and I LOVE IT! I love the distinct change of seasons and after a lifetime of first snows still get giddy everytime I wake up to the first snow cover. I am a registered nurse, a total trauma junke as they say. I can't imagine doing anything else. I am going to be getting married on May 1, 2010. I am so excited!


Other Information:
So my biggest challenges will be giving up Blue Moon Beer and hot wings. Not that I have to "give them up," it's just that I have a SERIOUS addiction. In fact, beer and hot wing is what we are serving for our wedding reception!
