I'm a marathoner and a competitor!
4-21-08 I just ran my first Boston Marathon. Check out my blog for more details! 10-29-08 I just got my first race/road bike a few days ago! I'm absolutely thrilled because I've wanted to do triathlons for about 2 years now but didn't have the "gear" to do it. It's definitely a significant financial undertaking but I have DH's full support. 4-21-08 I just ran my first Boston Marathon. Check out my blog for more details! 10-29-08 I just got my first race/road bike a few days ago! I'm absolutely thrilled because I've wanted to do triathlons for about 2 years now but didn't have the "gear" to do it. It's definitely a significant financial undertaking but I have DH's full support. In fact, DH is going to be getting back in shape (he hasn't worked out MUCH in the last 3-4 years) and do a sprint triathlon with me in the spring! I'm really looking forward to adding the different training to my program and having DH do it with me is really a dream come true! Fitness goals for 2009 1) To run 1000 miles in 2009 2) To workout 2-3 mornings a week before school 3) Run 1 marathon and 2-3 half marathons. 4) Run my marathon in a 3:30-3:40 range...it's been awhile. 5) Lift weights 2-3x per week and continue to increase muscle mass. 6) Compete in my first triathlon- set for Oct. 4, 2009 7) Start taking more pictures!

My Goals:
Working on about 5 lbs. I have really been upping my mileage and getting back in running shape for my upcoming halfs and full marathons. I have also been lifting 3x a week since June. I can really see the definition and toning (and reshaping) in my body since I have started doing this. I do feel a lot more confident about my body!
My Program:
I run 5-6 days a week, cross train 1-2 days a week, and lift 3 days a week for 45 min. I also swim, rollerblade, and play tennis to keep variety to my routine. Hoping to add cycling soon- once I get a bike!
